This is a message for Andrew Clark:
Dear friend, thank you so much for your post to Mihai, it has been useful, we have identical problem that Mihai, but for other reasons. We decided change the timming belt, identical car, Bluebird LD 20 II from '90 year, buy in Spain at Nissan Motor Ibérica. We remove timming belt's covers and found a no marks timming belt. First problem, we have also a new timming belt witout marks on it. First step, afther remove service belts and crank pulley, we turn motor up TDC on first cylinder just about, but no exactly, then we don´t know that crank´s keyway at 12 o´clock indicates the TDC. We only have information about this from distribution diagram flowing through the network, you know surely; at this diagram crank mark is represented between 2 and 3 o´clok, most near 2 than 3.
We think here stay our error. Crank sprocket observing the two brands can be seen, small center punch mark, at 3 o´clock (keyway crank at 12, of course)and a cylinder shaped protusion at 2 o´clock, more less, one less tooth belt exactly.
We marked belt on crank pulley with this last reference, cylinder shaped protusion, and sucessively on punch mark on camshaft pulley and finally on punch mark on pum´s pulley.
We remove belt from the car and transfered marks on new belt, be surely mark before side motor on it.
Well, we mounted new belt methodically repeating all steps in reverse, our time taking us, unhurried, and thinking, but, the car turns on very well, but not going as before, we think its sounds like pum´s injection point retarded, smokes, not overdone, but no runs properly, and hasen´t power, also no acelerate as before.
Yesterday we found your post to Mihai, quickly took the old belt, and count the tooth, and surprise, marks are exactly as you describe, thus we understand even less. Sorry for the tremendous roll, but it is to give you an idea of how we are, we also bought a Nissan manual with Vanette LD20 on France, but it isn´t the same engine, belt 141 teeth, not like ours, which is 143.
We just need from you clarify which of the two brands is correct, and if the description of your post corresponds to a 143 tooth belt.
Many thanks in advance for your time and patient:

Hi again!
I come now with some more details.
Car is an old but reliable Nissan Bluebird equiped with an LD 20 II diesel
engine, built in 1987.
Two weeks ago I decide I have to replace the distribution belt. So I went to
an autoservice where a polite mechanic (unfortunately not so experienced in
diesels - I had to find later) did the job, but when I came back to pick up
my car I found out it was really bad running.
The mechanic told me the injection pomp is faulty and I have to go somewhere
else to fix the pomp...
Anyway, eventualy I arrived to some other mechanics and they asked me if I
have any repairing manual for my car 'cause they can not find the marks on
the motor side (only on the wheels themselfs) and so they can not do a
propper timing for the engine.
Please help me with some knoledge or with any links on internet where I can
find some schematics (drawings) about my problem.
Thank you very much,
Mihai
Top Dead centre is at 2 oclock on crank, keyway for pully is at 12 oclock on mine, remember crank maybe 180 degrees out,if you remove number 1 injector you can feel piston at tdc with a screwdriver.I'm told injection happens at TDC and exaust valve shoud be starting to open.
