Discussion:
Sloshing sound around right running board?

When I accelerate from a stop, particularly when I make a left turn, I
can hear a sound like water sloshing inside a channel. It sounds
roughly like it is coming from the right running board, near the front.

Any ideas?

(Oddly a coincidence, I had this same problem on a 97 Saturn SL2. I
never did figure that out.)

Thanks,
JimR

Water in the Heater box due to plugged drain in air vent in front of
Windshield?
Water sloshes around in the box and sometimes the fan hits the water
when turning left because the car leans to the right. It requires two
things to clear.
1. Unclog the drain tube. The drain tubing from the heater plenum exits
the cabin through the firewall right behind the engine. The rubber drain
tubing is 1/2" in diameter and exits the firewall for about an inch then
is bent down 90 degrees to allow water to drain out. Squeeze the open
end of the tubing a few times to release the debris. Water should pour out.
2. Now, using a shallow pail or bowl to catch the water (because it will
contain about a quart of water and will soak your carpeting), place the
pail or bowl below the rubber tube entering the lower part of the heater
box and pull it out.
Replace the tube when done. I hope this works for you.
I've had to do this twice on a 93 Sentra over the years.
Your tubes and drain may be in different places than my Sentra.
